Objective Gait Analysis SLEIP

Objective Gait Analysis is a special software that helps us to gain a better understanding of a horse's movement patterns and identify any potential problems.

What is Objective Gait Analysis / SLEIP?

Objective Gait Analysis or SLEIP is a special AI software that helps veterinarians to gain insight into the smallest asymmetry and lameness. Using cameras and Artificial Intelligence with point recognition, the Software measures any lameness down to the millimeter and provides important information during lameness research, but also when working up and selecting lame animals.

In addition, the software makes it possible to build a database of your horse, whereby small changes in your horse's movement pattern are detected at an early stage. Using the software, you get an account linked to your horse and the vet can reliably watch your horse in motion from a distance. Follow your horse during rehabilitation or if you are unsure whether your horse is not walking well, with this innovative software you can make it measurable and as a veterinarian I can also support and help you from a distance.

In addition, the software gives you as the owner a clear picture of the lameness. Using graphs and slow-motion videos, you can work with your veterinarian to see if and where your horse shows asymmetry or lameness. My personal experience is that many owners find it nice to see and understand for themselves where the complaints come from!

What are the benefits of Objective Gait Analysis / SLEIP?

– Makes very mild lameness clear to the vet and owner
– Build a database on your horse and discover early when your horse is not moving optimally
– Collaborate with the veterinarian remotely in the event of acute lameness or during rehabilitation
– Make your horse's rehabilitation measurable and monitor its recovery
